Long-tail and short-tail keywords
Within keyword, a distinction is made between long-tail and short-tail keywords. Short-tail keywords often consist of 1 or 2 words. However, many popular searches consist of more than one word. Specific searches consisting of several words are also called long-tail keywords. The advantage of focusing on long-tail keywords is that they often have a more specific search intent, making it easier to write relevant content for them. The disadvantage, however, is that long-tail keywords often contain less search volume.
