Call Center
A call center is an agency (or department) dedicated to in performing telephony services. For example, conducting telephone customer service or answering service and approaching potential customers by phone with an offer(telemarketing).
Large organizations sometimes have their own call centers, but more often these types of tasks are outsourced to specialized companies. In both cases, special rooms are set up to provide large numbers of call center agents with a place to work.
Working at a call center is a popular side job for students. This is mainly because of the flexible working hours and because telephone acquisition is seen by many as less attractive work. On top of the usually somewhat lower salaries, bonuses are often awarded for successfully selling products and services and successfully retaining customers.
