Because I think every entrepreneur, marketer and freelancer should know Ubersuggest and what you can do with it (especially what you can't do with it), I think it's time for an Ubersuggest review.
Ubersuggest is a website by Neil Patel that you can use for free to find out keywords, receive new suggestions and discover keywords from your competitors.
You can define this per country and even per domain! In addition to finding out keywords, Ubersuggest has expanded considerably in recent years and several tools have been added.
And I'd love to tell you more about that!
Before I start telling you what I use Ubersuggest for, I want to show you what you can do with it and all the functionalities that Ubersuggest includes.
When you have entered a keyword, you will see four major overarching topics on the left side of the menu:
Menu
Here you will find your dashboard. Here is all the information Ubersuggest keeps for you when you have created an account.
But more on that later.
Ubersuggest
Within the Ubersuggest heading, there are three sections:
Traffic Analysis
This is one of the newest features of Ubersuggest. You can enter a domain here to find out all kinds of important information from your competitors
SEO analysis
Within SEO analysis, what you can do is actually quite logical: analyze your SEO.
It too is now divided into two parts:
As you can see, Ubersuggest is packed with valuable tools and you don't even have to pay for them. I also use software that offers functionalities that Ubersuggest also has, but for a lot of money.
Now that it's clear what you can use Ubersuggest for, let's move on to the pros and cons.
As you've come to expect from me, I like to start with the benefits:
There are other advantages, but I think these are the main ones. Fast forward to the disadvantages:
Within Ubersuggest, you can even track your positions in Google, receive more keyword suggestions and personalized SEO suggestions.
This does require you to create an account, so even there you pay with your data ...
... I think ;).
If we are going to compare Ubersuggest to free alternatives, by no means can they all do what Ubersuggest can.
And if they can do any part at all, they probably can only do so to a limited extent. For that reason, there is really no real competitor in the market.
Of course, there are paid competitors like KWFinder, but to compare them is not fair.
If you are still looking for alternatives to Ubersuggest, I recommend looking at the following tools:
Should you be looking for other, more content-related, tools, I recommend reading the following blogs:
Ubersuggest is now much more than a tool for figuring out keywords. It is more of a platform.
So, since you can recently put your competitor's website in Ubersuggest, it is also an excellent tool for finding out your competitors' keywords.
The backlink feature and SEO analysis that I mentioned at the beginning of this review, Neil Patel also marketed as stand-alone software. So despite being under Ubersuggest, you can also see them separately from the keyword analysis feature.
In addition to Ubersuggest, Neil Patel has also set up an A-B testing calculator. It allows you to determine which variation in your A-B test was the most successful.
Ubersuggest is fantastic. Sure I would like to see additions and sure other paid tools are better in some areas.
But knowing that you pay nothing for Ubersuggest and that Ubersuggest sometimes has more features than paid competitors, I can't do anything else to conclude this Ubersuggest review by giving it a big 10.
Purely because it is a real addition for all startups as well as seasoned marketers.
